You know the drill: you want to stay in New York City (L.A, the beach, etc.) but the hotels are SO expensive. The affordable ones are so bland that you might as well be staying in a hospital room. What you want is a unique, stylish room close to all the must-see places. No, make that a stylish apartment where you have space just to relax and a fully stocked kitchen where you can cook a meal or two. Oh, and make that cute apartment reasonably priced. Is that too much to ask?  Airbnb says no. Don’t believe me? Take a look!

How about a Redondo Beach, California cottage for $124 a night!

Feeling a bit more adventuresome? You could stay in in a loft in Vancouver, British Columbia for $130 a night.

What a great find, Cathy! I downloaded the app to my iPhone and spent a good hour browsing potential places to stay on my overseas trip next year! By then there will surely be much more to pick from, too.

Lori,
Yes, I also have the iPhone app, which you can use to book your next stay while you are traveling! I love that each home is so unique. Plus, you can’t beat the prices. Where are you going overseas next year?

Right now my plans are to stay a few days in London, taking in a couple of side trips (Hampton Court, Bath); a quick visit to see a couple of friends in Scotland, a day (or 2) in Paris just to visit the Louvre), and several days in Cornwall (my ancestral home) to do some genalogical research, visit some gardens, enjoy the unique landscape, beaches, food, culture, etc…

I planned to be there now to celebrate my 50th but still haven’t saved enough just yet. Hhhmm, maybe I should rent out my spare bedroom to make a few extra $$$!
