Fall has arrived in Kansas City and I am thrilled! Pumpkin-colored leaves, a visit to the local cider mill, tasty dinners of pork chops and spiced apples … what’s not to love? At the top of my list is the cozy fall decorating. Below are some fabulous ideas, along with the creative blogs that originally featured them.

From Deck the Halls (Those are vinyl letters on the pumpkins — clever!)

From the Petit Design Co. blog

From A Pumpkin and a Princess blog, an easy-to-do idea:

An easy way to preserve fall leaves (You dip them in wax!) at MarthaStewart.com

And a fun way to dress up votive candle holders using cinnamon sticks at CountryLiving.com

Every woman needs her own space: a place where she can retreat to work on creative projects, catch her breath and just be. The five studios below are loaded with great ideas you can adapt for your own space.

This is the studio of fabric designer Heather Bailey. I love the jars full of embellishments on the shelf (upper left) and the soft palette.

If you are short on space, you can convert a cupboard into a creative area.

This would make a great home office, as well as a craft room.

This studio is incredibly organized.

Cute!

We’re planning Easter around here. I asked my college-age daughter what she wants to do this weekend and she said Easter crafts! Then my sister, also a creative type, and my crafty other daughter want in on the action. So now I’m planning, and boy is it fun! Here is a collection of inspired Easter crafts, decorating and tasty goodies.
